Dynasys Animal Care Warehouse Management System utilizes RFID tagged cage cards for fast detection of cage inventory and tracking. Dynasys 900 MHz passive Mount-on-Metal RFID tags utilizing the latest technology from Texas Instruments can survive autoclave temperatures and chemical wash. DACWMS is a complete Web Based Warehouse Management System that tracks rodent colonies from the induction to checkout process.

The RFID tagging of the cages is used in addition to the currently utilized barcoded card protocols. This new system provides error free tracking for induction of new cages, put away, inventory, census, checkout and billing functions.

The task of taking period cycle counts is reduced from hours to minutes using RFID. Previously an attendant had to individually scan each barcoded card one at a time. Now with the aid of an RFID Mobile Cart Reader many hundreds of cage cards can be read each minute.

Embryos are implanted in the uterus of a surrogate mother. The selected genes will be expressed by some of the offspring.
