Wavetrend Ultra Long Range Active RFID Systems

Wavetrend Technologies Long Range Vehicle ID Readers are specifically designed for hands-free vehicle identification in fleet management, parking, airports, gated communities, access control, and asset management applications. The Vehicle ID Readers communicate with Active Beacon Tags to capture the presence, identification and location of vehicles, assets, people and alarm triggered events. They provide long range coverage for dynamic vehicle ID location, inventory management, and real-time personnel mustering.

These Vehicle ID Readers communicate with Access Control systems in standard 26 or 32 bit Wiegand formats, or via a serial RS-232 or RS-485 protocol for custom software solutions, and are also able to operate on a new or existing Ethernet LAN / WAN Network.

Features

• Tamper Detect: Tags with the tamper detect option include an internal reed switch. A small external magnet is adhered to the surface of an asset. The tamper tag is then adhered to the same asset with the tag resting on top of the magnet. If the tag is removed (tampered), the tag’s internal reed switch is activated by the loss of the magnet’s magnetic field. Any change in state of the reed switch increments a single byte counter value that is transmitted along with the tag’s ID. The most significant bit (MSB) of the counter indicates the reed switch status, i.e. open or closed. The counter will be reset upon reaching the count of 127 and will restart at zero.

• Motion Detect: Tags with the movement detect option include an internal movement sensor. Any movement of the tag increments an internal single byte counter value that is transmitted along with the tag’s ID. This counter will be reset upon reaching the count of 255 and will restart at zero.

Weatherproof NEMA Enclosure

Reader Assemblies can be supplied in a weatherproof outdoor reader enclosure box meeting NEMA Type 4 specification and is designed to exclude water applied in the form of a hose stream. NEMA Type 4 meets to IP65 standard for dust tight and protected against water jets.

Enclosure convenienty houses Reader, Antenna, Voltage Regulator, Backup Battery and associated wiring. Dynasys can supply complete Reader station assembly wired and mounted, ready for installation.



Active Asset Reader with Bluetooth

Dynasys also offers an Active Asset Portable Reader which is ideal for collecting asset inventory in the field. Portable reader contains a Bluetooth radio interface that can conveniently connect to most Bluetooth enabled computer devices.
